Darragh Egan Brings In Four Young Players To Wexford Senior Hurling Panel

Egan has brought in four young players into the Wexford Senior hurling panel…

The Wexford Senior hurlers are preparing for their Walsh Cup clash against Laois which takes place this Sunday at 2pm in Rathdowney.

Due to the Omnicron virus and its spread throughout the county, Egan will not be able to confirm his panel for the game until Friday evening after their training.

The new Wexford Senior hurling manager has brought in four young players ahead of this week’s game. They include Oisin Pepper (Rapparees), Cian Byrne (Fethard), Kyle Scallan (Faythe Harriers) and Seamie O’Regan (Buffers Alley).

It’ll be Egan’s first competitive game in charge of the Yellowbellies. Wexford fans, and fans of hurling, will be interested to see if Egan opts to play a sweeper similar to former Wexford hurling manager, Davy Fitzgerald.
