21-year-old man charged with murder of step-father in Enniscorthy

A shocking fatal stabbing occurred in Enniscorthy on Thursday night…

The man who died has been named locally as 45-year-old Michal Gladyszewsk.

As per the report on RTÉ, Adrian Zelek, a 21-year-old of 63 Westbury Woods, Enniscorthy, was charged with the murder of his stepfather, Michal Gladyszewsk, in Enniscorthy on Thursday.

Zelek is also charged with producing a weapon, assaulting and obstructing Gardaí, and attempting to escape custody.

Gladyszewsk was attacked in the downstairs area of the property in Westbury Woods, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

Gladyszewsk was a Polish national living in Enniscorthy, and he was married just last year in September, 2022.

As per the official Garda statement on the matter, a Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been appointed and will keep the family informed of this investigation.

Zelek will appear before Gorey District Court for the charges on Thursday June 1st.
