Wexford won’t have too much time to dwell on their recent loss to Fermanagh…
That’s because John Hegarty’s Wexford Senior Footballers will be in Tailteann Cup action again this weekend, after coming second in their group.
Who are they playing?
Wexford have been drawn against Antrim.
Where?
It’s a home clash and will be taking place in Wexford Park.
When is it on?
It’s Sunday, 8th June at 1pm.
What’s it in?
Wexford will take on Antrim in the Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter-final. A win for either side will of course see them advance into the quarter-final stages. However, it will also be the last game of the season for one of these teams, with extra-time if necesary.

Where can I get tickets?
Tickets for the game are currently available on Ticketmaster. Adult tickets cost €15, students and OAP’s cost €10, while Juvenile tickets cost €5.
Is it on tv? Or is it being streamed?
This game is not being broadcast live on television. Likewise, it has not been selected for streaming on GAA’s streaming platform, GAA+. The only way to watch this game is to attend it in person.
What are the betting odds?
Wexford are slight favourites for this clash. With the home advantage, Wexford enter the clash as 8/11 favourites. Meanwhile, the Saffron visitors can be secured at a price of 13/8 to win the game, while the draw is priced at 9/1. Last year, Wexford also played host to Antrim in Wexford Park – a game which saw Antrim emerge as one-point winners.

Who’s left in the competition?
All four preliminary quarter-finals take place this weekend. Wexford meet Antrim, Offaly face New York, Westmeath take on Laois, and Sligo host Carlow in the preliminary quarter-finals. Wicklow, Kildare, Limerick and Fermanagh have advanced directly to the quarter-finals. The quarter-finals of the Tailteann Cup take place on June 14/15.
