Wexford Ladies Footballers Draw In National League Final

On Sunday afternoon, Wexford and Tipperary played in the Division three Ladies Football final in Clane.

For most of the game, the sides were closely matched and Wexford needed a last-gasp Fiona Rochford point to force a replay against the Premier County.

Wexford’s result was helped by the clinical finishing of Aisling Murphy, who scored a cracking 2:01 in the first-half for Anthony Masterson’s side.

For the second year in a row, Tipperary has been forced to a replay in the National League final. The replay will be played on the weekend of the 13/14th of May, with more details to follow.
