With his club team Kilanerin/Ballyfad, Mattie Forde is continuing to cause havoc in the full-forward line.
In this year’s Championship, he was instrumental in his club’s return to the top-tier of Wexford football. But that wasn’t enough; in the Leinster Intermediate Football Final, he chipped in with an incredible six points to ensure his club attained additional silverware in a close-knit encounter against the Dublin champions.
As part of our new Throwback Thursday series, this week Mattie Forde’s point against Armagh in 2008 makes the list.
Despite it being nine-years down the line, this point continues to live fondly in our memories.
