Local Rugby Player Makes Connacht Mens Senior Rugby Squad For Saturday

Connacht will face Munster this Saturday in Thomond Park and there will be a familiar Wexford face in the match-day squad…

Connacht Head Coach Kieran Keane has announced his starting fifteen and full match-day squad to take on Munster.

Paul Boyle, who hails from Castletown in Co.Wexford played with Gorey RFC, and he has now been given a call-up to the Connacht squad. Playing at number 8 for Lansdowne, he impressed, and as a result, he received a call-up to the Irish u-20 panel just last year.

Not just that, but Boyle went on to captain Ireland in the u20s World Cup and it is clear that his performances certainly haven’t gone unnoticed.

In the summer months, Boyle decided to switch his Leinster allegiances for Connacht. The Wexford native turns 21 just next Sunday and game-time and a win against Munster in Thomond Park would certainly be an ideal early birthday present.

The game will kick off at 7:45pm and will be streamed live on TG4.

Congratulations to Paul & best of luck!
