The Wexford Senior hurlers overcame Brian Cody’s Kilkenny team in today’s Walsh Cup final…
A terrific comeback, a palpable extra-time and a tense free-competition stood in the way of Wexford as they attained silverware.
However, amidst it all, another Wexford team were playing in an All-Ireland Junior hurling semi-final.
St Mogues Fethard overcame their Sylane of Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final on a scoreline of 0-18 to 0-09 in Parnell Park.

Amidst their jubilation, they celebrated their victory with young Fethard GAA club member, Rory Whelan who was at the game and is currently recovering from Guillain-Barré Syndrome.
This means they’ll represent Wexford in Croke Park in the All-Ireland final, which marks off an absolutely brilliant day for Wexford GAA.
It is believed that the final will be played on Feb 4th in Croke Park.
