Lansdowne narrowly overcame Cork Constitution in the Ulster Bank Division 1A Rugby League on Sunday.
Full time: Lansdowne 19 – Cork Constitution 17
The victory completed a prized All-Ireland League and Cup double for Lansdowne, who are now three-time league champions (2013, 2015 and 2018).
Two Wexford natives, namely Foster Horan (Tombrack, Ferns) and Willie Earle (Cahore, Ballygarret) starred for the winning side.
Unfortunately for Horan however, an injury forced him out of the game early, with Ian Fitzpatrick replacing the Wexford man on the half-hour mark.
Update: Honourable mention to Wexford’s Greg McGrath, who was an unused sub for Lansdowne.
