The Wexford u-20 footballers lost to Dublin in Wexford Park today (Wexford 0-11 – 1-15 Dublin), but there were plenty of positives to take from the game.
Leading the Boys in Blue 0-08 – 0-05 at half-time, a shock victory looked on the cards – and after Wexford’s goal-keeper ran the pitch and kicked an outrageous point over the black spot, people started to believe anything was possible.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for a half-strength Wexford football side, but they can be proud of their performance today against a strong Dublin side who refused to give up.
Meegan finished the game with a personal tally of 0-04 (3f), and the Ferns St Aidans club-man is definitely one to keep an eye on for the future.
