Former Wexford Senior football captain Ciarán Deely has agreed on terms with London GAA and will continue his role as manager.
Deely will now enter his fourth season as London manager, adding that “a new cycle begins of developing young London-born players and integrating some top players from Ireland.”
Currently, London GAA competes in Division 4 of the National Football League, finishing in a fifth place last year – but Deely and his London counterparts will be hoping to build on last year’s performances.
In the Senior Football Championship, they were beaten by Sligo, and then Louth in their next championship game.
A former fitness coach with QPR, Deely took over London in 2015, having previously served them as a trainer and selector.
On Tuesday, the former Horsewood Gaelic footballer took to Twitter to express his delight in accepting new terms with the Exiles:
Delighted to be ratified last night by the Executive &Clubs of @LONDAINGAA to continue for a 4th season as Manager of this great group of lads. New cycle begins of developing young London born players & integrating some top players from Ireland. Loads of work to do- can't wait!👍 pic.twitter.com/1IOoCaWy06
