Here’s Wexford’s 24-Man Squad For The Boston Fenway Hurling Classic

Who’s going on the trip to Boston, eh? Well, we can tell you now…

This Sunday, Wexford will play All-Ireland champions Limerick in the now annual, Boston Fenway Hurling Classic, which takes place in Boston’s famous Red Sox stadium. Along with the 24-man panel, four members of management and two Wexford representatives (Derek Kent & Micháel Martin) will also make the trip across the sea.

As one could have guessed, Naomh Eanna’s contingent of Conor McDonald, Cathal Dunbar, Eoin Molloy, and Gary Molloy are staying put in Ireland, as the newly crowned Wexford Senior hurling champions play Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Leinster club semi-final this Sunday

Similarly, St Martins duo Rory O’Connor & Willie Deveraux are staying put, due to injuries and other commitments. Former Wexford footballers Michael O’Regan and Colm Kehoe are no longer part of Fitzgerald’s 2019 plans so they won’t be traveling.

After an inspiring comeback to his club team from the United Arab Emirates, Ferns-St-Aidans hurler Ian Byrne was re-called up into the panel, and he will travel on the team’s trip to Boston.

Below, you’ll find the players traveling on the trip:
