Watch: Wexford Duo Battle It Out For First And Second Place At Cheltenham Festival

The Wexford takeover continues…

Wexford jockeys Jamie Codd and Barry O’Neill battled it out for first place in the 5:30 National Hunt Chase at the prestigious Cheltenham festival on Tuesday.

Codd, who hails from Mayglass in Wexford, battled fellow Wexford man Barry O’Neill from Ballindaggin, Enniscorthy.

In the end, Jamie Codd rode the winner, a 14/1 shot called Le Breuil. In second place was jockey O’Neill, on board of Discorama, who was priced at 9/2.

It’s been a good festival for Jamie Codd, who was successful on Envoi Allen the following day, giving an emotional interview to RacingTV after the race.
