Watch Live Stream: Wexford Boxer Niall Kennedy Aims To Keep Unbeaten Record

Wexford boxer Niall Kennedy is fighting in Boston tonight…

Kennedy will fight on Dropkick Murphy’s ‘4th St Patricks Day Clash’ tonight.

The Gorey native was due to face unbeaten American Darmani Rock , but unfortunately for Kennedy, mid-way through his training camp that fight fell through.

Despite the set back, Kennedy goes into this fight against new opponent Michael Marrone aiming to put on a St Patrick’s Day show. A win tonight in Boston should be the catalyst for an exciting 2019 for Kennedy.

Speaking to IrishBoxing.com, Kennedy said:

“This weekend is very important to me as it sets up bigger opportunities, but this year has to be big and that is down to me performing Saturday for a start.”

“Then, the trust I have in Ken and Packie will set up big fights for 2019.”

“Darmani Rock remains a target but not the only one.”

“I’ve trained exceptionally hard for 10 weeks for a high level opponent to give a high level performance so I can’t slip up this weekend.”

Coverage of the card is set to begin at 7pm Boston time, which translates to 11pm in Ireland. Markl DeLuca takes the feature fight of the night, facing Jimmy Williams in a WBA-NABA title fight. The packed card will also feature Cork native Spike O’Sullivan against Khiary Gray, while a host of other Irish natives will be searching for victories too.
