Second-Half Comeback Secures Another Draw For Wexford Hurlers Away To Galway

Two championship hurling games, two draws…

Full time:

Galway 0-16 – 0-16 Wexford

After a dismal first-half showing, Galway were in cruise control. Six points up at half-time, it looked like the Tribesmen would attain maximum points against the Model County. But, a strong second-half comeback from the Yellowbellies ensured they did not leave Galway empty handed.

Wexford will be delighted to secure another point from the game. Two draws leaves them on two points entering their remaining two games. Ahead of the Leinster Championship campaign, Wexford would have taken two points from two away games to Dublin and Galway.

In the next two games, Wexford will face Carlow at home and then, a mouth-watering home clash against Brian Cody’s Kilkenny in the final round of the championship.

Wexford Scorers:
Lee Chin (0-07, _ f), Cathal Dunbar (0-02), Rory O’Connor (0-02), Dee O’Keeffe (0-01), Shaun Murphy (0-01), Conor McDonald (0-01), Liam Og McGovern (0-01), Aidan Nolan (0-01).

Update to follow.
