Wexford U-20 Hurlers Have Booked Their Place In The Leinster Final With Offaly Defeat

Times are good for the Wexicans…

Wexford’s Minor hurlers are Leinster Champions.

The Senior hurlers are Leinster Champions.

Now, Wexford’s u-20 hurlers will be looking to bask in the same glory, after the Yellowbellies defeated Offaly in the Leinster semi-final this evening in front of a packed support from both sides in O’Connor Park.

This evening, Wexford defeated Offaly on a scoreline of 2-20 to 1-18 in Tullamore. Offaly, who defeated Dublin in Parnell Park last week, will be disappointed not to continue their mini-hurling revival, but there’s no doubt, with the likes of Cathal Kiely, Conor Butler and John Murphy lining out on their teams, that their time in the spotlight will come around again.

The Model County will be looking forward to a Leinster final date against the winners of Kilkenny and Galway, which will be aired live on TG4 tomorrow evening.

Wexford’s U-20 XV vs Offaly:

1.James Lawlor, 2.Cathal O’Connor, 3.Eoin Molloy, 4.Eoin O’Leary, 5.Niall Murphy, 6.Mike Kelly, 7.Conor Scallan, 8.Charlie McGuckin, 9.Eoin Murphy, 10.Sean Keane Carroll, 11.Ross Banville, 12.Conall Clancy, 13.Sean O’Connor, 14.Cian Fitzhenry, 15.Diarmuid Doyle.
