Wexford’s Opponents For The U-20 Leinster Hurling Final Have Been Confirmed

The Wexford u-20 hurlers had a close eye on tonight’s events in O’Connor Park, Tullamore…

The Wexford u-20 hurlers defeated Offaly yesterday evening on a scoreline of 2-20 to 1-18 to reach another Leinster hurling final.

The other semi-final was played out tonight, between Kilkenny and reigning champions Galway. It was DJ Carey’s Kilkenny team that emerged victorious from the game, defeating the Tribesmen on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-14.

Kilkenny will be out to avenge the minors and seniors, who recently lost out to the Yellowbellies in their respective Leisnter finals, while MJ Reck’s Wexford side will be hoping to complete the treble of Leinster titles, something that hasn’t been achieved in Wexford since 1970.

It is all but confirmed, but it’s looking likely that the final will be played in Wexford Park, Wednesday July 17th at 7:30.
