The Wexicans are a passionate bunch when it comes to hurling…
Wexford fans are renowned for travelling in big numbers and lightening up the hurling championship with their colourful and distinguishing Purple and Gold drapes. Throughout this year’s campaign, it’s been no different.
Wexford will play the winners of Tipperary and Laois on July 28. It’ll be the Yellowbellies first All-Ireland semi-final since 2004. One person who is refusing to miss out on Wexford’s upcoming All-Ireland semi-final clash is Sean Banville.
Today, he decided to draft his two-week notice to hand in to the management of a local restaurant, stating that his last day will be on July 25 and that he has already bought the cans in advance of the All-Ireland semi-final.
Hopefully, it won’t be a decision that the Wexford fan later regrets. A win for Davy Fitzgerald’s side would see Wexford compete in their first All-Ireland final since 1996.
