WATCH: Wexford Musician Reaches Viral Status With His Catchy Cover

One of the last Wexford natives to go viral across Ireland was Enniscorthy’s Padge Welsh for his involvement in a hilarious GAA video

Musician Paddy Davitt, a Ferns native, reached those similar viral heights over the past week.

A video of Davitt covering ‘Dance Monkey’ on his saxaphone was posted onto The Irish Mirror’s Facebook page last week. The video has already surpassed the 100,000 views mark, while its also been shared over 870 times and liked by over 2600 people on the social media platform.

Davitt, who is a member of Wexford’s The Heartbeats Band, usually plys his trade at weddings, events and parties, though it is clear that they “are no stranger to any genre, from the 1950’s all the way up to today’s more modern song choices” just as promised on the band’s website.
