Wexford Senior hurler Conor McDonald completed the Dublin marathon this afternoon…

The Gorey native completed the KBC Dublin Marathon today, raising vital funds for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie and St Aidans Day Care centre in the process.

Mc Donald originally set his target at €1000. As support grew, the target was exceeded and a new goal was then set for €2000.

When McDonald started the Dublin Marathon on Sunday afternoon, he had raised €2200 for the chosen charities.

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie is a children’s charity for cancer patients, while St Aidan’s Day Care Centre is a facility in McDonald’s hometown of Gorey that provides care for a people with a range of disabilities, children with special needs, and for the older people.
