Fitzgerald’s Wexford Hurling Squad Selected For The New York Hurling Classic

Just like last year, Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford hurlers will travel to America at the end of the month to compete in the New York Hurling Classic…

The St Martins contingent of Jack O’Connor, Rory O’Connor, Joe O’Connor and Conor Firman are on club duties this Saturday against Kilkenny kingpins Ballyhale Shamrocks and are therefore ruled out of selection.

Meanwhile, Wexford All-Star Dee O’Keeffe will not feature in the game, as he is currently travelling while on a career break from teaching.

The squad selected for the trip Stateside is as follows:

Fitzgerald’s Wexford side will face Limerick in the semi-final, while a repeat of the All-Ireland final – a clash between Kilkenny and Tipperary – will battle in the other.

There will be no live broadcast of the game on national television.
