Christmas has came early for a number of sports clubs throughout the country…
A total of €37m has been allocated to 994 different projects across the country with 37 different sports benefitting.
Michael D’arcy, Junior Minister for Finance, announced today that 40 Wexford sports clubs will receive capital funding:
“I am delighted that the funding announced today is going to benefit over 40 clubs in Wexford.”
Gorey Community School (€82,696)and Realt Na Mara Ballygarrett GAA Club (€75,178) are the highest receivers of all Wexford clubs. GCS will use the funding to construct a floodlit Astroturf area, while Ballygarrett’s grant will go towards the construction of an all-weather area, a floodlights upgrade and a new walking track.
