It won’t be too long until the inter-county hurling season returns…
The first match up for Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford team is one that will certainly whet the apetitite for the year ahead.
Wexford’s first competitive game of the 2020 season will be a derby game against Kilkenny in the Walsh Cup semi-final.
The game will be played at a Kilkenny venue, with details still to be confirmed.
It is set to be played on Sunday 12th of January.
The clash is a repeat of last year’s Leinster hurling final, where the Model County emerged victorious against Brian Cody’s Cats.
In the other semi-final, the winners of Carlow/Dublin/Laois or Westmeath will play Galway.
