Several Wexford natives will represent the county in tomorrow’s Fitzgibbon Cup semi-finals..
IT Carlow will take on Mary I in the first game, which takes place at 2pm.
In the second-game, the two favourites for the competition, DCU will battle it out against UCC .
Several Wexford natives feature prominently on the IT Carlow and DCU sides, while there are no Wexford representatives on the Mary I or UCC teams.
For IT Carlow, players such as Cathal Dunbar, who is joint-captain, Seamus Casey, Shane Reck and Rory Higgins are just some of the Wexford players that feature prominently.
Likewise, DCU have a strong Wexford contingent, with Damien Reck, Rory O’Connor, Conor Firman and Oisin Foley featuring regularly for the North-Dublin college.
The double-header of Electric Ireland Fitzgibbon Cup semi-finals takes place this Saturday, 8th February, in DCU. Admission is €10 for adults, €5 for students, while juveniles are free.
