Wexford U-20 Footballers Defeat Carlow In First Round Of Championship

The Barrow men won’t be happy with Wexford defeating them twice in the space of a week…

Paul Galvin’s Wexford Senior footballers defeated Carlow last weekend in the Allianz Football League. It would be Galvin’s first win as Wexford manager.

This evening, in the u-20 Leinster Football Championship, the Wexford u-20 footballers continued that similar trend.

The u-20 footballers defeated Carlow on a scoreline of 3-08 to 2-09 in what was a hard-fought victory for the Brendan Kehoe managed side.

The win this evening has set up another home clash for the Model County. They’ll now face Meath in the Leinster quarter-final, which will take place next Saturday February 15th at 2pm, with a venue still to be confirmed.
