Hero Guard Rescues Man Who Entered Water In Wexford

The dreaded sounds of a helicopter could be heard over Wexford’s quay last night…

A man had entered the water at Paul Quay last night at approximately 11pm.

A Garda, who noticed the person, swam out to sea and rescued him.

According to Padraig Byrne of the Wexford People, the hero Garda “swam some 200 metres to bring him back.”

All involved in the incident are safe.
