Wexford Woman Urges Public To Take Coronavirus Seriously As Her Dad Fights For Life

A Riverchapel woman is urging the public to take the coronavirus seriously as her Dad continues to fight for his life…

Caroline Brady is pleading with the public to take the Coronavirus seriously. Caroline’s Dad, Richard Brady, is fighting for his life in the ICU unit of Wexford General Hospital.

“For people who think it’s an old persons disease, it has no age limits. My Dad was a 66-year old healthy man who walked 8km per day. Two weeks after being admitted to hospital we’ve been told the ventilator isn’t working and there’s no improvement,” Caroline said last night.

The Brady family have already went through some tough times after Caroline tragically lost two siblings; one brother, and one sister.

“We cannot hold my dad, even see him, how are we meant to get closure if the worst happens which it more than likely will? People need to start taking these restrictions more serious before it ends up at their door,” she said.

As of yesterday 20 April, Wexford have a total of 100 confirmed Coronavirus cases. We must continue to practice social distancing, and to simply stay at home unless necessary.
