Two Women Released Without Charge Following Wexford Stabbing Incident

A stabbing incident involving at least two women and one man occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning..

Two women were arrested after a man was injured in a suspected stabbing in Clonard, County Wexford shortly after 1am on Sunday morning.

A man, in his 40s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two women in their 30s were arrested at the scene and are being held at Wexford Garda Station. The two women suspected in the stabbing incident have since been released without charge.

The news comes just over a week after a fatal stabbing occurred in Enniscorthy Co Wexford, where a suspect was also released without charge.

Files are currently being prepared by the Gardai for both cases and the Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses.
