New ‘Min Ryan’ Park Set To Open In Wexford Next Week

A new park will open to the public next week…

With construction commencing in September 2018, it has now been confirmed that Min Ryan Park in Wexford will be open to the public next week. The new park is located beside the Loreto School, Wexford.

As per a tweet by Wexford’s George Lawlor, Min Ryan Park will be the only public park in Ireland named after a woman. Min Ryan was a Wexford woman who served in the GPO during the 1916 Rising.

It will be a great amenity for the public. The park will boast an array of attractive features, including a playground, picnic area, dog park, memorial garden, walking track, water features, multi-use events area, play spaces, wildflower meadows and art/sculpture displays.

With the coronavirus cases decreasing and with the lockdown restrictions easing, it’ll be the perfect time to head out and enjoy all nature’s beauties that the park has to offer.
