Opponents And Date Set For Gorey Rangers FAI Junior Cup Quarter-Final

The Gorey Rangers Football team is a solid outfit..

After a comfortable victory over Mayo’s Castlebar Celtic, Gorey Rangers now find themselves in the FAI Junior Cup quarter-final stages.

The fixture plan and schedule was impacted by the outbreak of Covid-19. A draw for the next games took place recently and Gorey Rangers have been drawn against Dublin outfit Usher Celtic.

As per FAI guidance, the venue for the fixture will be “confirmed based on best medical advice” while the proposed date for the game is pencilled down for one months time, for the 26th of July.

The FAI are proposing that the semi-finals would then take place on 22nd/23rd of August, with the final taking place two weeks after, on 5/6th of September.

In 2018, North End were dramatically crowned FAI Junior Cup Champions after a penalty shoot-out at the Avila Stadium. The Gorey Rangers side from North Wexford will be hoping to replicate those joyous occasions.
