Wexford’s Championship Fate Will Be Decided During Live Draw On RTE News Tonight

There’s a buzz in the air as the hurling and football championships loom upon us once again…

Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford Senior hurling side are likely to receive a bye straight into the Leinster Senior hurling semi-final for the upcoming 2020 Leinster championship campaign.

Both Wexford and Kilkenny will likely receive a bye as both of them competed in the Leinster final in 2019. Originally, both teams would partake in a group, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the GAA’s fixture schedule has been greatly impacted. Initially, we were unsure if Wexford could play Kilkenny or not – but it has now emerged that last year’s Leinster finalists can meet in the semi-final.

A live draw, which will take place on RTE One News at 6 o’clock, will confirm the fixture schedule and the fixtures for the upcoming hurling and football season.

The draw for the Leinster Football Championship will take place tonight too, however, the pathway for that championship doesn’t seem to be as clear. Paul Galvin’s football side will be looking on keenly, having started the League campaign in impression fashion.

It’s safe to say that we’re all looking forward to the news tonight.
