Here’s The Path For The Wexford Senior Footballers In Leinster Championship

The Wexford Senior hurlers were drawn against Galway for this year’s Leinster Senior hurling semi-final…

The GAA also confirmed the fixture schedule for the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.

As drawn last October, Wexford will be playing Wicklow in a derby game in the first round of the Leinster Championship.

A win against the Garden County would see Wexford face Meath in the quarter-final stages of the Leinster Senior Football Championship. If Wexford defeat Meath in the quarters, they’ll face the winners Of Carlow, Offaly and Kildare in the semi-finals.

The other semi-final will be between Longford/Louth/Laois vs Westmeath/Dublin.

Paul Galvin’s charges have impressed throughout the League campaign, and for sure, they’ll be eagerly awaiting the opening round of the championship. That game is pencilled in to be played the same weekend that the Wexford hurlers face Galway in the Leinster hurling semi-final, which is the weekend of October 31st/November 1st.
