Good News As Speed Limit On Popular Wexford Roads Reinstated To 100Km/h

This will be some positive news for many Wexford locals…

Some popular roads across the Wexford community were downgraded from 100km/h to 80km/h following the opening of the M11 Gorey to Wexford.

At the time, the downgraded speed limit impacted the travel times for some local residents, specifically local residents in Oylegate, Enniscorthy, Ferns, Camolin and the surrounding areas.

Last year, an online petition was set up addressed to the Wexford County Council encouraging them to reinstate the speed limit to 100km/h. This online petition was signed by over 2,700 people.

We can now confirm that after today’s Wexford County Council Meeting, some popular roads that were downgraded, have now been reinstated to 100km/h.

Some roads reinstated include:

Clough roundabout to Camolin

Camolin to Ferns

Ferns to Scarrawalsh

Scarrawalsh to Sherlock Bush, Oylegate roundabout

It’s important to note that the old N11 speed limits will not be reinstated until July 15th 2020.
