Another Jump Of Confirmed Covid-19 Cases In Wexford

Wexford has seen yet another significant increase in Covid-19 cases…

Today Sunday 6th of September there was another jump of five confirmed Covid-19 cases in Co Wexford.

A total of 310 cases have now been confirmed in Co Wexford since the pandemic began. Nationally, the Department of Health reported 138 new additional cases today. This brings the total amount of cases since the pandemic began to 29,672, but notably, no additional deaths were confirmed.

Of the 138 cases reported on Sunday, 79 were female and 59 were male. 67% of cases were under 45 years of age. 39% of cases are associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case. 23 cases arose from community transmission.

68 of the cases were reported in Dublin, while 13 were reported in Limerick. Galway and Kildare had nine new additional cases, while Wexford, Cork and Wicklow had five.

The remainder of the cases were spread across Carlow, Clare, Donegal, Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Roscommon, Tipperary, Waterford, and Westmeath.
