Thankfully, Wexford did not see an increase of confirmed Covid-19 cases today…

84 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in the Republic of Ireland today .
No new cases were confirmed in Wexford. The news comes after fifteen new covid-19 cases were confirmed in the county following yesterday’s Governemnt announcement.
Wexford Weekly can also confirm that all schools in Wexford have remained open — despite 42 schools across the country closing or taking action due to a suspected or confirmed Covid-19 case. Notably, 34 of the 42 schools mentioned to have taken action, are Dublin-based schools, with others in Clare, Cork, Offaly and Kildare.
Of the cases notified today;
32 are men / 52 are women
66% are under 45 years of age
30% are confirmed to be associated with outbreaks or are close contacts of a confirmed case
8 cases have been identified as community transmission
51 in Dublin, 6 in Offaly, 5 in Kildare and the remaining 22 cases are located in Cork, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Meath, Roscommon, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wicklow.
