Professional Wexford boxer Niall Kennedy is currently in training for his next fight.
The Gorey man will be up against ‘The Savage’ Alen Babic.
Babic is relatively unknown — but he does hold an unbeaten record and he fight under Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing label.
In his professional career to date, the 29-year-old Croatian boxer, Babic, has stopped all of his four opponents.
Kennedy, with a professional boxing record of 13-1-1 and who is ranked as Ireland’s number one heavyweight, will be hoping to add another win to his record next time out.
The upcoming fight for Kennedy represents one of the biggest opportunities of his career to date, featuring on the undercard of Joshua Buatsi’s fight against Calic.
The card takes place on 4th October and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
