Shane Roche Brings In Two Former Wexford Team-mates To Backroom Team

Paul Galvin will no longer be managing the Wexford Senior footballers…

Shane Roche, who was a part of Paul Galvin’s backroom team, will now take over the helm on an interim basis.

Wexford-man Roche has brought in two of his former Wexford team-mates. Both Anthony Masterson and Philip Wallace will be joining Roche’s backroom set-up.

Both enjoyed lengthy careers with the Yellowbellies, with the former also into involved as a Wexford football Games Development Officer.

Roche’s appointment on an interim basis comes after Paul Galvin resigned from his post as Wexford Senior Football manager, where, in a brief statement, he noted that time commitments and a significant growth in his business were the main factors behind the Kerry-man’s decision.

It is unclear who Wexford will seek now to replace Galvin — but it is great to see the County Board placing their faith in Roche, even if it is just for the time being.
