Irish Government Announce Entire Country Has Entered Level 3 Restrictions

Taoiseach Michael Martin announced tonight that the entire country — including Wexford — will be entering Level 3 restrictions…

The new restrictions will begin tomorrow at 12 midnight and will last until October 28, exactly three weeks. The Level 3 restrictions will be reviewed by the government then.

NPHET had recommended that the entire country be under Level 5 restrictions, which would have seen Ireland return to a full-lockdown.

It’s the first time that the Irish Government have gone against their medical experts at NPHET.

Meanwhile, all club GAA activity across the county has also been halted for three weeks.

Again, it’s a timely reminder that we should continue to social distance, wash our hands, and wear our face masks. We do not want to go to level 5 or return to a full lockdown.
