Shamrocks GAA Club Suspends Activity Due To Active Covid-19 Case In Club

The Shamrocks GAA club in Enniscorthy have suspended all club activity…

The move comes after the club was informed of a positive Covid-19 case. The GAA had previously suspended all club activity with immediate effect until further notice.

The Shamrocks GAA club in Enniscorthy released a statement today, highlighting the steps taken and urging people to refrain from blaming — and instead, to be supportive.

“It is with a heavy heart that we are taking the action to suspend all club activities after it was revealed we have 1 positive case of an active member of the club to date (Saturday the 10th October). Our number one priority is the health and safety of our members.”

”The mentioned above tested positive Thursday night after going for a test that morning. He isolated straight away and all his close contacts within the club and wider community have went for tests and have all come back negative to-date (10th October).”

“We would like to reiterate that there is a global pandemic going on and now is not the time to blame, now is the time to look after one another, literally and figurative.

“Your club, your community, your future.”
