27 Cases Confirmed In Wexford, With 1205 Confirmed In Republic

A total of 1205 cases were confirmed in the Republic of Ireland today…

1205 is the highest daily number of Covid-19 cases in the Republic, climbing over the previous highest daily record figure of 1090, which was yesterday.

An additional 27 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Wexford today. These 27 cases will be added to the county-by-county table tomorrow.

New data on Ireland’s GeoHive Hub reveals that Gorey is now a Covid-19 hotspot. From the 29 September to 12 October, Gorey had an infection rate of 533.8 per 100,000. This compares to the national average of 206.7 per 100k.

From the same time period, Gorey had 146 cases, which is significantly higher to its neighbouring towns and counties.

Enniscorthy – 35
Wexford – 6
Rosslare – 13
New Ross – 12
