Both sides will face each other in this year’s Leinster Football Championship next weekend…
But, the Wexford and Wicklow clash in the Allianz Division 4 National League, which takes place tomorrow in Wexford Park, is a vital one too.
A win for either side could see them gain promotion to Division 3 of the National Football League and be crowned League winners.
Wicklow will be the team travelling for the clash, and the bookies have priced the Yellowbellies as slight favourites, with an 8/11 tag.
Wicklow are 11/8 to win, while the draw is pried at 15/2.
Wexford had a great National Football League season under Paul Galvin before the season came to a halt due to Covid-19 and before Galvin’s eventual departure from the post.
A win against Limerick away, with interim manager Shane Roche on board, has left Wexford in a great position being one of the in-form teams of the Division 4 campaign.
They come up against a stellar tear in Davy Byrne’s Wicklow side, but here’s hoping for a cracking game and a Wexford victory.
