Wexford Woman Launches Book To Raise Funds For North Wexford SPCA

A local Wexford woman has launched her own book to raise money for the North Wexford SPCA…

Caroline Kidd, from Bunclody, who is an author, copywriter, and owner of the website Changing Lanes, has launched her own book to raise much needed funds for the North Wexford SPCA.

The book, entitled While You Were Sleeping, is set in the NWSPCA in Gorey and looks to encourage children to be kind to animals and to show what the charity itself does.

The book itself combines Caroline’s love of animals, and of course, her love of storytelling.

Speaking at the launch of her new book, Caroline said she was thrilled to use her writing skills to raise money for a wonderful charity close to her heart.

The NWSPCA centre in Gorey was set up in 1947 and a team of volunteers looks after as many animals as possible, through rescue, rehoming, and rehabilitation.

The book is on sale in the NWSPCA Charity Shop in Gorey, as well as Kavanagh’s in Arklow, South Street in New Ross, and the Art Bank in Bunclody.

In less than one week, the book has already raised over €1,000 for the local charity.
