Davy Fitz: “To The Wexford Supporters, I Am Extremely Sorry…”

A disappointed Davy Fitzgerald summed up the feelings of most Wexford supporters after the game yesterday…

The Wexford hurling manager spoke to The Sunday Game following their Leinster semi-final loss to Galway yesterday evening. He admitted that the performance wasn’t good enough. He also highlighted how the “boys were miles off it” and that in the game, he utilised “four different formations, and two different styles of play.”

After the highs of 2019, a thirteen point loss was a disappointing result for Wexford. In another interview with Off The Ball, he echoed similar sentiments and said what’s needed moving forward:
