Wexford Native Is Seeking Silverware With Donegal Hurlers This Weekend

A Wexford native is aiming to get his hands on a special piece of silverware this weekend..

St Martins club-man Luke White is aiming to capture some silverware this weekend.

The Wexford native switched county allegiance to the Donegal hurlers after taking up a teaching post in Carndonagh Community School last year.

White was part of Wexford’s successful u-21 teams in 2014 and 2015, which saw the Yellowbellies crowned Leinster Champions.

White will be playing between the posts for the Donegal hurlers when they face Mayo in the Nicky Rackard Cup final in Croke Park this weekend.

The cup itself, the Nicky Rackard Cup, is named after the legendary Wexford hurler.

No doubt, attaining the victory and in turn, getting his hands on the cup would be extra special for the Wexford native.

Throw-in for the game is 1:30pm.
