Major Spike In Covid-19 Cases In Wexford Today Moving Into Festive Season

This isn’t the news we were hoping for moving into the festive season..

There has been a rise in Covid-19 figures recently.

45 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Wexford yesterday, while today saw an additional 59 cases of Covid-19 in Wexford.

The incidence rate now stands at 127.6, which makes Wexford the 10th highest in Ireland. Not long ago, we were the county boasting the lowest incidence rate.

In the Republic of Ireland, an additional 582 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed today.

NPHET and Cabinet will be meeting this Tuesday and it is expected that the Republic of Ireland will have increased restrictions imposed for the Festive period.
