Christmas Eve Sees Another Spike Of Covid-19 Cases In Wexford

It’s not Christmas Eve for Covid-19, it’s just another day..

There has been a rise in Covid-19 figures recently.

56 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Wexford today which pushes Wexford’s incidence 14-day rate up to the second highest in the country.

Wexford’s 14-day incidence rate is now 291.9 per 100k, the second highest in the country behind Donegal. The 14-day incidence rate for Ireland is 166.6, which shows just how high Wexford’s rate is.

437 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed across Wexford in the previous two weeks.

With the Festive period incoming and with people socialising, spikes are expected to continue.

The news comes just after the Irish Government have increased restrictions for the Festive period which could last into February and March.

We encourage everyone to stay safe over the Christmas period. Together, we will get though this.
