140 Covid-19 Cases Confirmed In Wexford As Ireland Sees Record High Numbers

103 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in County Wexford yesterday..

Today, Wexford registered over 100 cases of Covid-19. This news was confirmed following this evening’s statement.

103 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Wexford today, as per the Government’s statement and press briefing. Wexford’s incidence rate now stands at 418.1, still above the national average of 381.6.

It was a day when 3,394 new cases were confirmed in the Republic of Ireland, the largest number since the pandemic started.

The LEA district of New Ross in Wexford is still a concern as it’s still considered a Covid-19 hot-spot, as it has one of the highest 14-day incidence rates in Ireland.

With the rising numbers, we encourage everyone to stay safe. Together, we will get through this — and there is light at the end of the tunnel too as Covid-19 vaccinations are currently being rolled out across the country.
