This was confirmed following this evening’s press statement.
It was a day when 7,836 new cases were confirmed in the Republic of Ireland, one of the largest numbers since the pandemic started. An additional seventeen people have unfortunately died as a result of the virus.
With the rising numbers, we encourage everyone to stay safe and to stay at home. Together, we will get through this — and there is light at the end of the tunnel too as Covid-19 vaccinations are currently being rolled out across the country.
