How Many People Have Died From Covid-19 In Wexford?

How many people died from Covid-19 in Wexford? We looked into it to find out an answer to a question on our minds…

Up to including March 15th, 6,753 total cases of Covid-19 were registered in Wexford and the median age of the cases is 39.

The number of Wexford people who died from Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic now stands at 135.

The median age of the people who sadly lost their lives to Covid-19 was 82.

Wexford has a population of approximately 150,000 people. For comparison, we looked at data from similar counties across Ireland. We looked at Wicklow (142k), Tipperary (159k) and Kerry (147k).

Of similar populations, sadly 145 lost their lives in Wicklow, 85 in Tipperary, and 51 in Kerry.

This is the most up-to-date information and it was released by the Central Statistics Office on March 26th, 2021.

We also must remember that these are people. They are more than statistics, with many families grieving the loss of loved ones. At Wexford Weekly, we extend our deepest sympathies to the families affected. RIP.
