Wexford Rider Wins Over Hurdles At Cork Racecourse

Wexford rider Luke Murphy won over hurdles today at Cork…

Amateur jockey and Wexford native Luke Murphy rode 22/1 shot Letthetruthbeknown to glory this afternoon at Cork Racecourse.

Murphy won the Cork & Waterford Mares P2P Flat Race for trainer Denis Murphy.

Speaking after the race, Murphy said:

“The better ground was a big help today & she is a nice well-bred mare. That’s my second winner on the track, I work for Denis (Murphy) and have about 40 point-to-point winners ridden. The yard is going well at the minute.”

At Cork today, Murphy also placed (2nd) on board of Trickalight. It has been another great week for Wexford connections on the horse-racing scene. This week, two Wexford natives were also part of a syndicate which saw a fairy-tale horse win at Fairyhouse.
