Wexford GAA Are Not Appealing Davy Fitzgerald’s Two-Match Sideline Ban

Both Wexford and Antrim could not be separated on Saturday in their Allianz Hurling League clash in Belfast…

Full time:

1-21 Antrim

2-18 Wexford

__

One of the major talking points from the game was Davy Fitzgerald’s sending off by referee Patrick Murphy.

Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald was given his marching orders in the first half. Although Wexford did start well, Wexford failed to kick on. Fitzgerald’s sending off was a major talking point following the game, and mostly, for all the wrong reasons.

Wexford GAA will not be appealing Fitzgerald’s sending off. This means that the Wexford manager will be managing the team from the stands for Wexford’s next two games.

Fitzgerald has received a two-match sideline ban, which means he will not be present on the sideline for Wexford’s final Allianz League clash against Dublin, and their opening Leinster Championship match against Laois.
